Depression Sucks

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Frankly, I just didn't know what to write. I'm still waiting for the cover design of my latest book, Charlie's Dream, to be sent for my approval. Once that is done it will be posted on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I will definitely let you know when that happens.

I've talked about working on my new book called, Fire Fire You're a Liar, but truth be told, I haven't been able to find my "inspiration" lately. It's fall and the weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse, today in particular. That affects my mood, which is a little down.

I really don't want to complain but this weather is not good for me or a lot of people. I suffer from depression and I'm on medication for that. My mood is not seriously low, just a touch of melancholy. I could really use a little pick-me-up to nudge my creative switch to the "on" position; just a nudge. I know it will happen but sooner would be nicer than later.

When a person is feeling down or deeply depressed they have a hard time believing in themselves. This is my biggest stumbling block to starting back writing. I question if anyone would really want to read the book I'm working on. Are my ideas appealing or just mediocre?

I have an outline, know where I'm going but just can't find my start button. Maybe this blog will help. Perhaps a little encouragement from you will help me straighten up and get moving. If you feel so inclined, please email me a little note to urge me on, to barbarasbooks.yeg@gmail.com Could you do that for me? I'd love to hear from you.

Blessings,

Barbara
