It's Magic!

Yes, it is magic that you meet when you read Trees of the Lew. In a fantasy world where tree spirits roam free and speak, sometimes, in riddles and rhymes, the magic that happens is really what happens on the inside of all of us.

I wanted to write a book that could reach out to all, rich in the inviting role of spirituality in everyone. This isn't about religion; this is about reaching deeply into one's soul to find out what's there. What you find is the human condition - needless fears, mistrust, puzzlements and love. It is love that drives the soul in us all.

When the Onlies, tree spirits who have no home trees, come into the picture, there is a lot of fear and questioning. What do they want? Why have they made contact? Why did they capture Calming and Archer? Many questions and they are answered, in time, as other actors join the scene. This is a book that digs deep. It has elements of kindness, forgiveness and reconciliation which speak to all of us as we face life's challenges.

If you have read and liked Trees of the Lew you will be pleased to know that I am working on a sequel that will bring more magic and deeper probings into our inner lives. I expect it will be done sometime next year as I am currently working on yet another Young Adult novel, a sequel to Please Tell Me Who I Am, another "teenaged angst" book. It will be out sometime later this year.

While providing food for thought it also provides entertainment through the interesting characters you will meet, including talking animals!
